The Peace Through Music Foundation

The Peace Through Music Foundation (PTMF) was established by sound healing pioneers Dean and Dudley Evenson in 2021. The Evensons, founders of the Soundings of the Planet music label, began the PTMF with the mission of inspiring peace by bringing people closer together through music, education, innovation, collaboration, and celebration.

The Peace Through Music Foundation aims to grow an Empowerment Network connecting people with instruments, teachers, and events that emphasize music as an instrument of peace.

We support, invite, and seek to collaborate with individuals and collectives aligned with our mission.

Hi, I’m Burke Mulvany, Executive Director of the Peace Through Music Foundation, a Washington State nonprofit. For over 30 years, I’ve helped organize and produce festivals, concerts, and community gatherings that bring people together through music. I’ve been part of the Peace Through Music movement since I bought my first sticker in a Portland guitar shop at 19, and I’m still inspired every day to keep spreading the message that music can build bridges and bring healing to the world.
